Sentient firefly swarm
Project Ideas
Here is an idea of a harware "firefly" that has three inputs and three outputs. Each output is controlled by the sum of opposite two inputs, and there is a threshold and a "build-up" followed by a release. This is controlled by on (or two?) speed knobs. The idea is to some extent to mimic a set of three very simple neurons with two inputs each.
This could obviously be simulated as a first step. I am thinking that a system of maybe five of these would be an interesting minimum.

Project Ideas@AnalogWeapon is there like a usb class compliance thing that works with vcv rack för cv or is it just usb cc audio?

4x4 pixel to waveshape module
Project IdeasThe idea is that we have a simple input matrix with let's say 4x4 monochrome pixels. These gives 2**16 combinations to plenty of room for variations. However, each pixel has a predefined wave property that it adds to the wave shape.
To make it more interesting you could define two of these "images" and have a CV in (and knob) for morphing between them.

Laundromat module
Project IdeasI think it could be pretty cool with a bunch of knobs with cv that are labeled with washing symbols and affect the sound accordingly. It should be easy to get something fun and/or useful out. Order does not have to make sense clothes -wise, but there could be a selector that lets you choose between two or three reasonable ones. Wet/dry could be as simple as the mix for reverb and delay.

Laundromat module
Project IdeasDoes three steps:
-
Wash
Make the sound wetter and cleaner. How? -
Dry
Make the sound dryer and crisper. How? -
Fold
Folds the sound. Double wave folder.
Graphically it should take inspiration from a washing instruction found on clothes
One or more knob plus cv per step?
